CONNECTED PHOTOGRAPHER SITE OF THE MONTH
Amazing art with Microsoft Paint (of all things)
By David Gewirtz
For photographers, the photo editing tool of choice is often Photoshop. But Photoshop's quite expensive for some folks. As we've shown in our Budget Photo Secrets series, there are many free tools that will help you create great digital photos and digital art.
However, we've never, ever mentioned Microsoft Paint as one of those tools. We all know Microsoft Paint. It's the free painting program that comes with Windows.
Stanley William Moore II was born in 1987. Microsoft Paint is a program so primitive, it seems like it hasn't really changed much since before William was born.
We mention William because he's developed an uncanny skill with Microsoft Paint. Seriously. As you can see in Figure A, he's managed to create some amazing art with a very primitive program.

William Moore shows you don't need expensive tools to make great art. Click picture for a larger image.
If you're not convinced this is possible with Microsoft Paint, William shows how he did it on another page on his site, as shown in Figure B.
FIGURE B
Apparently, William feels the need to prove he's doing this in Paint. Click picture for a larger image.
What can we say? It's just an amazing piece of work. You should definitely visit his site. The screenshots we've shown are just small pieces of his overall tour de force.
One word of caution: there are some rather inappropriate links on his site. If you click just the two we've provided, you'll be fine. But if you start poking around his full site, you might bump into some words and depictions we just can't approve of.
