Basic animation using Photoshop
Last month Dianah McDonald talked about time-lapse photography in "Tips for using still cameras to take time-lapse pictures". The example she used was in the form of an animated GIF. The same effect could be achieved using Flash, but for ease of creation, size, and compatibility she prefers the animated GIF. There are lots of programs available to turn your photos into GIFs. The general idea is the same, but, in this article, she demonstrates the specifics in Adobe Photoshop CS3.
